Hello Swing Dancers of ACHEV!
I'm Eliya Frantz. Joe Hidley and I, a fellow swing dancer, have been coming to these dances for many years and have been to many many swing dance workshops in the past. We've noticed that the older homeschoolers who would teach dance to the younger generation, have all grown up and mostly moved on from our community, which leaves the question: Who will continue to teach Swing and Lindy-Hop to the new generation?
Joe and I will be teaching Swing dance workshops on September 2nd and 9th for anyone who has the desire to gain more skill and confidence in their dancing. This is open to all levels. We're working on making this as effective as possible in improving the quality and confidence of all dancers who love to swing. Here are the details:
An opportunity to learn and practice on how to be more smooth and confident in the style of Swing dance, and Lindy-Hop if time allows.
178 Furman Avenue, Ventura 93003 (Susan Pineda's house)
Saturday September 2nd and 9th: Beginners 2:30-5:00. Intermediate/Advanced 5:15-6:30 (previous dance experience required - must already be sure of swing and/or Lindy basics)
Beginners Workshop: $15 per person, $10 for siblings. Intermediate/Advanced Workshop: $10 per person.
WE ARE SO EXCITED! We would love to get to the place of everyone showing up at the dances with their own unique styles, and strong confidence. If you have any questions, or you are ready to RSVP, then please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will see you guys there!
